Por que o Dia dos Namorados é em junho?
Em outros países como França, Estados Unidos, Inglaterra o dia dos namorados é celebrado em 14 de fevereiro, no dia de São Valentim. Já no Brasil celebramos o dia dos namorados em 12 de junho, um dia antes do dia de Santo Antônio, que é o santo dos casamentos.
Há muito tempo atrás Santo Antônio ajudava mulheres a encontrarem um marido. Ele ajudava as moças humildes com dotes e enxovais para o casamento. Logo ele ficou conhecido como o santo casamenteiro e toda mulher que queria ajuda para se casar, rezava e ainda reza para Santo Antônio.
O Dia dos Namorados é celebrado durante as Festas Juninas no mês de junho e muitos casais aproveitam para reafirmar seus votos em encenações de casamentos com as Quadrilhas Juninas.

In other countries such as France, the United States and England, Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14, on Saint Valentine's Day. In Brazil, we celebrate Valentine's Day on June 12th, one day before Saint Anthony's Day, which is the saint of weddings.
A long time ago, Saint Anthony helped women find husbands. He helped humble girls with dowries and trousseau for their wedding. Soon he became known as the saint of the weddings and every woman who wanted help getting married used to pray and still prays to Saint Anthony.
Valentine's Day or "Dia dos Namorados" is celebrated during the Festas Juninas in the month of June and many couples take the opportunity to reaffirm their vows in wedding performances with the Quadrilhas Juninas.
